SYNOPSIS (MAXIMUM 500 WORDS):*

During the Christmas season, it is a tradition in countries such as Mexico to present theater plays with themes related to the Nativity of Christ. These plays are called “Pastorelas”.

This book is a collection of six of these plays written for children between the ages of 6 and 15. The vocabulary is appropriate for these ages, as well as the fine sense of humor. Some parts contain rhymes, which facilitate the learning of the scripts. 

Each play script is preceded by a related image, as well as a brief summary of the play. 

Characters such as angels, devils, shepherds, the Holy Family and the Three Wise Men appear.

The titles of the six plays are “On the way to Bethlehem”, “A slave to Five Kings”, “From Nazareth to Betlehem”, “Betlehem’s Inn”, “On Earth as in Heaven” and “The Three: Santos, Reyes and O’Magos”.

The intention of publishing this collection of Nativity plays is to promote the love for staging, acting and directing in schools, families and children.
